Arizona Wildcats slide in national polls after loss to UCLA

The University of Arizona Wildcats suffered just their second loss of the season Saturday night, and it caused an inevitable drop in two major national polls the following day.
In the AP Top 25 poll released Sunday, the Wildcats were ranked 21st, which is a seven-spot drop from the previous week.
Arizona (6-2, 3-2) is also ranked No. 21 in the newest Amway Coaches Poll, which is six spots lower than the program was on the previous list.
Rich Rodriguez’s group was positioned 12th in the Playoff Selection Committee’s rankings prior to the team’s loss on the road against UCLA, which was ranked 25th in the AP poll prior to the game (now 18th). The committee’s new rankings won’t be revealed until Tuesday, and a UA fall is expected.
Arizona next faces the lowly Colorado Buffaloes (2-7, 0-6) on Saturday, Nov. 8, at home. Colorado is coming off a 38-23 home loss to Washington on Saturday.
