Not much was expected of the Arizona State Sun Devils in 2014.

Head coach Todd Graham was tasked with replacing nine defensive starters from last season’s Pac-12 South championship squad.

Even after a crushing defeat at the hands of Oregon State last Saturday, it’s safe to say that the Devils have exceeded expectations this season.

Heading into Saturday’s home finale against Washington State, ASU is 8-2 overall, 5-2 in the Pac-12 and still very much alive in the Pac-12 South race.

For those reasons, Graham has been named one of 20 semifinalists for the Maxwell Football Club Collegiate Coach of the Year Award.

Semifinalist voting for the Maxwell Football Club Collegiate of the Year Award will being on Thursday, Nov. 20 and close on Monday, Dec. 8. The finalist round will include the top three coaches, as selected in the semifinalist round. The winner will be announced Dec. 22.
