The Arizona Diamondbacks activated infielder Jake Lamb from the 15-day disabled list and designated catcher-infielder Jordan Pacheco for assignment Saturday, according to general manager Dave Stewart.
Lamb, 24, had suffered stress reaction in his left foot. He played in three rehab games with Triple-A Reno this week, going 4-for-11 with a double and two RBI.
Pacheco, 29, hit .242 with two home runs and eight RBI in 29 games for the D-backs this season.
Lamb hasn’t made an appearance for the D-backs since April 18. He was batting .414 with one home run and nine RBI in 10 games before the injury.
