The Pulse: Fans low on optimism with regards to 2015 Arizona Diamondbacks

Hope springs eternal at the beginning of every Major League Baseball season. At this point, every team has a chance to do something special.

Except, apparently, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Though chief baseball officer Tony La Russa has made no secret of how good he thinks his team is, according to our readers, his optimism is misplaced.

In our latest Sanderson Ford Poll Question, we asked how many games you expect the D-backs to win this season.

Let’s just say the results were a little depressing, with the majority of the 803 tallied choosing “70 to 80.”

The next highest total? “Under 70.” Ouch.

The D-backs opened their season with a 5-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants Monday night.
