The Arizona Diamondbacks made a gigantic splash Wednesday, agreeing to a six-year, $68.5 million contract with Cuban outfielder Yasmany Tomas.

The news was reported by MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez. The deal reportedly includes an opt-out after year four and is pending a physical.

Tomas, 24, defected from Cuba earlier this year, and was pursued by many clubs. He starred in the 2013 World Baseball Classic, where he hit .375 with two home runs for the Cuban team that advanced to the second round before being knocked out by the Netherlands.

Other teams believed to have interest in him include the Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.
