Every now and then, an athlete does something that is probably simple for them yet amazingly great for someone else.
What Andrew McCutchen did Saturday is a perfect example.
The Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder, following his team’s 5-2 win over the San Diego Padres, went to the stands and gave his batting gloves to a couple of young fans.
From a wide-angle view, it seemed like a nice gesture from a good ball player.
Of course, things are not always as they seem.
Video of McCutchen’s generosity was taken by the boys’ mother and posted to Facebook by their father. Needless to say, the kids’ reactions are priceless.
