Brandon Moss’ milestone baseball being held for ransom

Baseball lesson — if you’re going to hit a milestone home run, don’t hit it into your own team’s bullpen.

Brandon Moss of the Cleveland Indians hit his 100th big league homer Tuesday night — a solo shot off of Kansas City’s Jeremy Guthrie in the fourth inning of a 2-1 win.

It landed in the Cleveland bullpen.

Instead of delivering the ball to the Indians’ dugout, the mischievous crew decided to hold it for ransom. Each reliever listed his own personal demands.

They delivered this ransom note to Brandon after the game.

That’s quite a list — a list that if satisfied by Moss — would set him back over $6,200, assuming that his teammates settled for the iPhone 6 (not the plus), the iPad Air 2 and the bottom-level Apple Watch. That’s also assuming “Ricky” will settle for the iPad instead of five grand.

But hey, the slugger is making $6.5 million this season, so this is really pocket change.
