Anyone who has ever seen the Harlem Globetrotters knows they’re an entertaining team with an array of tricks in their bag.
However, they’re good for more than just mopping the floor with the Washington Generals.
They also set world records.
“Thunder” shattered the Guinness World Record for the farthest basketball shot made backwards. The old record was a pedestrian and unimpressive 72 feet, 2 inches. Thunder’s shot traveled 10 feet farther than that.
He accomplished the feat at the US Airways Center, the same venue the team will be playing at in February.
