And the hits keep on coming for former ASU linebacker Vontaze Burfict just one day away from the start of the NFL Draft.

From NFL insider Jay Glazer:

Burfict has already been dogged by a history of personal foul penalties, diminishing productivity and a dreadful performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. This latest red flag may be the last straw for NFL teams who were still considering using a pick on the linebacker.

According to another report from NFL reporter Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, Burfict admitted past marijuana use to NFL teams during the interview process at the Combine.

"I talked to some teams, and I told them I had smoked marijuana before," Burfict told Scout. "It's not like I'm the only person that has ever done that."

When asked if he still smokes marijuana, Burfict replied: "No, of course not. I don't smoke anymore."

Wow. I hope this guy has got some1
in his life right now that cares about him. Seams like he has been screaming for help or something. Before the combine he was a potential 2nd or 3rd round pick now he has literally no place in the NFL. tragic.

Can we refer to Vontaze as
Ex-college football player. ASU already has a bad rap a with this clown scrawgin the dawg at every turn it just makes it worse. We still have to deal with Crowe who everyone knows does not support any sports program he thinks they are a waste of time.

    Sad!
Young guy like that who HAD a chance of a life time in football and he threw it all away. Looks like it is McDonald's or Circle K for a job IF he can pass the drug test.

    This Could Be Good
Yeah, Burfict could try out for the Cardinalsand ride the bench or get on the prep squad and not have to leave town and lose all his drug dealer connections. Oh wait, maybe it was medical marijuana!
