The Phoenix Coyotes will not be shown on NBC during the 2013 season and will make just three appearances on the NBC Sports Network (AP File Photo).
Coming off their best season since coming to the Valley in 1996, the Phoenix Coyotes were more than deserving of getting some extra national exposure when the 2013 schedule was unveiled Saturday night.

While the 48-game slate certainly hampered those hopes a bit, NBC and the NBC Sports Network didn't do the Pacific Division champions any favors, either.

The Coyotes won't be shown on NBC this season and will make just three appearances on the NBC Sports Network shown below:

January 20 - vs. Blackhawks (NBCSN)
April 22 - @ Red Wings (NBCSN)
April 27 - @ Ducks (NBCSN)

In comparison, Phoenix made four appearances on the NBC Sports Network during the 2011-12 season. Dave Tippett and Co. will also make two addition appearances (Feb. 9 at Sharks and April 4 vs. Red Wings) on the NHL Network.

Don't get me wrong, I like watching Gortat, Scola, brown,Dragic, Tucker, Beasley and the boys, BUT, when the Coyotes are on the road and some of their home ganes, I REALLY hope FOXsports Az will carry them more!!!!! The Suns have had their share of airplay and their arena stays fairly empty at home... Lets cover the Coyotes more!

    Agreed
Fox Sports needs to forget about the Suns this season when the Coyotes are playing at the same time. This is 48 games of playoff hockey.

    FS Plus
There's always Fox Sports AZ Plus for an additional game (Suns or Yotes).... if you have FS Plus, that is and if FS wants to carry both teams simultaneously. It's really a shame that NBC couldn't find a way to put the Yotes on more often but the short schedule really screwed things up, I guess.

    NHL Network
They have at least 3 games on the NHL Network. I believe that still counts as national TV.
