With the opening of Arizona Cardinals training camp just days away, all matter of predictions are being made with regard to what we can expect from the Cardinals this season.
With quarterback Carson Palmer set to return with a clean bill of health after tearing his ACL in 2014, the Arizona offense could receive a much needed shot in the arm after wilting late last season.
The obvious and primary beneficiary of Palmer’s prospective return to form is the Cardinals’ talented fleet of wide receivers, headlined by eight-time Pro Bowler Larry Fitzgerald, fourth-year pro Michael Floyd and speedy second-year man John Brown.
But which receiver stands benefit the most from Palmer’s return?
Of the 865 total votes cast in our Sanderson Ford Poll Question, 40 percent (343) of participants believe that Fitzgerald will return to his familiar place as the Cardinals’ top receiver in terms of touchdowns, after the 31-year-old only found the endzone twice in 2014.
Brown also garnered a healthy number of votes, as 27 percent (235) believe that the Homestead, Florida native could improve on the five touchdowns he caught last season, which was good enough to finish second among all Cardinals receivers.
Despite leading the team with six touchdown receptions last year, Floyd only received 18 percent (153) of the vote.
Newly acquired tight end Jermaine Greshamn, running back Andre Ellington, and “Other” each took home eight, five and three percent of the vote, respectively.
