Arizona Cardinals sign linebacker Darryl Sharpton

Last week, the Arizona Cardinals reportedly visited with former Chicago Bears linebacker Darryl Sharpton.
Wednesday, they signed him to a one-year contract.
The 27-year-old is a five-year NFL veteran who, prior to last season, spent the first four years of his career with the Houston Texans.
He played in five games last season, tallying 27 tackles, two passes defensed and three QB pressures.
Originally a fourth-round pick out of Miami, he has appeared in 47 games (21 starts), recording 171 total tackles, five passes defensed, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
To make room for Sharpton, the Cardinals released safety Eddie Whitley.
