Michigan freshman guard Spike Albrecht hadn't scored more than seven points in any game during his first season of college hoops.

That made his 17-point outburst in the first half of the national championship game Monday night all the more shocking.

His Wolverines lost 82-76 to Louisville, but the disappointment of the defeat didn't dampen Albrecht's fighting spirit, as evidenced on Twitter Tuesday morning.

How's that for court awareness? He's having the game of his life and still notices the blonde bombshell in an arena filled with almost 75,000 people.

And with Upton responding to other guys' social media proposals, why not take a shot?

It's not like Kate hasn't been linked to other prominent Michigan athletes.

You go, Spike!
