    The goal is not to be mediocre? Could have foole dme, then to "bite the bullet" for a few years and take our lumps? What has the last 2 years been about? You're assuming Babby and Sarver know what they're doing, clearly they don't. We have been eating contracts on disposable players since Amare left, to supposedly "clear cap space" yet who do we got? Fricken nobody. The only think I hope for for the Suns is for Brian Colangelo to buy the Suns and save his dads team.

    I agree with your strategy, but I don't think Sarver has the same goals for this franchise as you or I. Mediocrity is exactly what their goal is- try to field a team that is in the playoff hunt with as little payroll as possible. And if he's forced to spend, Sarver's track record indicates quantity of players over quality.

    the Suns don't re-sign Nash, they will look to acquire a player that they can put on their billboards to sell tickets, and that's about it.
