Arizona Wildcats to extend hoops coach Sean Miller’s contract, give him raise

The Arizona Wildcats would like to keep head basketball coach Sean Miller around for a while longer.

If Miller stays until 2016, he'll also get UA-paid retention fund of $2.1 million & 1/4 of booster-paid retention fund (more than $1.5 mil)

He'll be eligible for 1/4 vesting in that booster plan, that is. Regents proposing that fund have earlier vesting than initially approved.

Miller recently finished up his sixth season in Tucson, leading the Wildcats to a 34-4 record (16-2 in Pac-12) as well as a second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament’s Elite 8.
In all, the 46-year-old Miller is 163-52 with the Wildcats, with three Pac-12 regular season titles, one Pac-12 Tournament championship and three Elite 8 berths.
