The Sun Devils made a push to get to within 4 points after a Chris Colvin layup, but Wroten answered, driving through the middle of the ASU zone defense for a tomahawk dunk with 5:35 left.
Then with 1:06 left, Wroten grabbed an offensive rebound off the floor, scored a layup and completed another three-point play that took the last breeze of wind out of ASU's sails.
What went wrong for ASU: After leading 24-22 at halftime, Washington came out and began the second half on an 17-3 run to take an 12-point lead. It was an uphill battle the rest of the way for the Devils.
Who stepped up for ASU: Jonathan Gilling and Jordan Bachynski. Gilling hit 5 three-pointers and had a career- high 20 points while Bachynski played 23 minutes off the bench, contributing 9 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
Who needed to step up?: Chanse Creekmur. The sophomore lit up Oregon State for a career-high 24 two Saturdays ago, but hasn't scored since. Creekmur was 0-for-4 on Thursday, and is 0- for-12 in his last three games.
Stat of the Game: ASU had zero free throw attempts in the first half, and finished the game 9-of-16 from the line, while Washington cashed in on 19-of-31 attempts from the charity stripe.
They said it: "I'm just disappointed with the loss. I really thought we could have beat these guys. I don't think they're any better than us, maybe they're more athletic, but I don't think player for player, they're better than us." - ASU wing Jonathan Gilling
What it means: ASU loses their 3rd straight and falls to 6-14 on the season and 2-6 in the Pac-12. The Huskies move to 13-7 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
What's Next: The Sun Devils will take on Washington State Saturday afternoon in Tempe while the Huskies travel south to Tucson to visit Arizona at McKale Center.
