Redshirt sophomore Anu Solomon and sophomore Nick Wilson were each named to a national award watch list on Thursday.
Solomon was included on the Davey O’Brien Award Watch List, an award given to the nation’s top quarterback.
The Wildcats signal-caller started all 14 games last season after becoming the first freshman quarterback to start a season opener for the school. He threw for 3,793 yards and 28 touchdowns, while finishing the 2014 campaign leading all FBS freshman quarterbacks in passing yards.
Wilson was named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List (nation’s top running back).
Last year, Wilson was an All-Pac-12 honoree after rushing for 1,375 yards and 16 touchdowns on 236 carries. He averaged 105.8 yards per game and set the Arizona freshman rushing record.
Both players were also listed on last week’s Maxwell Award Watch List, given annually to the player of the year.
