The Arizona Wildcats went on the road and destroyed a pretty solid Utah team 42-10, and because of that they have moved up to No. 11 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.
The win improved the Wildcats to 9-2 on the season and 6-2 in the Pac-12. Their final regular season game will be Friday against No. 13 Arizona State (9-2, 6-2).
For the first time ever, there will be a four-team playoff to determine college football’s national champion. The rankings are determined by a 12-member committee comprised of athletic directors (Jeff Long, Barry Alvarez, Pat Haden, Oliver Luck and Dan Radakovich), former coaches (Tyrone Willingham and Tom Osborne), a former conference commissioner (Mike Tranghese), a former reporter (Steve Weiberg) and other heads of state and administrators (Michael C. Gould, Tom Jernstedt and Condoleezza Rice).
