NFL Draft analyst Mike Mayock has former Arizona
State safety Damarious Randall listed as the top draft
prospect at the position in his latest rankings.
It’s a three-spot upgrade for Randall, who now leads
Landon Collins, Shaq Thompson, Quinten Rollins, Alex
Carter and Jaquiski Tartt.
Randall had 106 tackles last season as a Sun Devil, along
with a pick-6 and first team All-Pac-12 honors.
At 5-foot-11 and 196 pounds, Randall is small for his
position but has attracted the attention of scouts based
on his quickness, explosiveness and desire to hit hard.
He performed well at the Combine, clocking a 4.46 40-yard
dash and a 38-inch vertical jump.
His NFL.com draft profile projects him getting
picked up
in the third or fourth round.
