In a move to accommodate a request of the Pac-12 and its television partners, the 2015 football game between the Arizona State Sun Devils and New Mexico Lobos has been moved to Friday, Sept. 18.
There were games involving Pac-12 teams scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, so moving the ASU-New Mexico game will make conference television scheduling much easier.
The game will mark only the second time in school history that Arizona State will host a Friday night home game in September. The other was Sept. 9, 2011, when the Sun Devils knocked off Missouri 37-30 in overtime.
ASU pounded New Mexico 58-23 last September in Albuquerque — the first time the two schools had met on the gridiron since 1977.
