The Arizona State Sun Devils continue their recruiting efforts in the offseason with their latest signing of junior college prospect Raymond Epps.
Epps, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound tight end out of Arizona Western College, is listed by ESPN as the third-best junior college tight end in the nation and among the nation’s top junior college prospects among publications such as Rivals.com, which lists him at No. 37.
Epps will be a redshirt sophomore with three seasons of playing eligibility when he arrives in Tempe for the start of the spring semester in January. He is expected to participate in offseason conditioning and spring practice.
A former receiver at Warren Central High School in Indiana, Epps caught 15 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns his senior year before switching to tight end.
Epps will join the ranks of junior college signees by ASU out of Arizona Western College, which has previously seen the transfers of recent Sun Devils Steffon Martin, Darwin Rogers and Chris Young.
