The Pulse: Most believe Sun Devils are properly placed in College Football Playoff rankings

Nov 13, 2014, 5:20 AM | Updated: 5:20 am

Every day, ArizonaSports.com asks readers a question. It’s the Sanderson Ford Poll Question of the Day, and it can be found midway down the right side of our home page.

Tuesday, we asked whether or not the Arizona State Sun Devils were properly placed in the College Football Playoff rankings.

A total of 887 votes were submitted, and 53 percent of voters believe the team’s ranking looks about right.

ASU ranks No. 6 in the country after a 55-31 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday.

However, many are taking a wait and see approach, as 30 percent of voters said the rankings ultimately do not matter until the end of the season. Only the top four ranked teams will be selected to compete in the first ever College Football Playoff.

Thirteen percent feel the Devils are ranked too high, while five percent believe ASU is worthy of being a top five team.
