After a four-year absence, the Arizona State football program returned to iconic Camp Tontozona as part of their 2012 training camp.
This year, the team’s stay at the facility east of Payson will be extended.
The Sun Devils will practice at Camp T from Monday, August 12 through a camp-ending scrimmage on Saturday, August 17.
“I’ve stated many times that I love the traditions of college football,” second-year ASU head coach Todd Graham said in a statement. “Camp Tontozona for ASU is one of those iconic traditions. I want to take my teams to Camp T because that is where the tradition and the season begins. Coach Frank Kush had a vision and it worked out very well. I want to perpetuate that tradition.”
