Reactions to Coyotes receiving No. 3 overall pick in NHL Draft Lottery

After the Arizona Coyotes received the No. 3 overall pick in the NHL Draft Lottery Saturday night, the reaction, as one might imagine, was a strong one.

Strong, and fairly negative.

Fans had hoped badly for the No. 1 or No. 2 pick, because many believed a name like Jack Eichel or Connor McDavid could potentially save a franchise and attract even casual hockey fans to Coyotes games.

Instead, Edmonton received the No. 1 pick for the fourth time in six seasons.

With the No. 3 pick, the Coyotes could opt for Dylan Strome or Noah Hanfin, or potentially make a trade including, but not limited to, their pick.

After their fate was announced, the franchise and its fans/writers took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the situation:
