Shane Doan was not happy following his team's 4-3 loss to the Kings, one that eliminated the Coyotes from the postseason.

Sure, watching the Kings advance to the Stanley Cup Final would be upsetting enough -- especially when it happens on your home ice -- but that's not what had the captain's attention after the game.

No, Doan was peeved at the officials, who were the subject of much Coyotes ire throughout the course of this series.

Whether it was penalties called on him or the lack of whistles against the Kings, the veteran had plenty to say. You can hear it all by clicking on the link located above, or you can watch it unfold in the video below.

He was right on everything. The kings were the better team. They do have some studs. Sitter coaches em up amazingly. And some of the calls just...yeah. Sad that's how it went down, but proud to be a Yotes fan and proud of our captain! Brown is a scumbag

    OFFICIATING WAS PATHETIS
I will absolutely agree we should not take away from what the amazing Coyotes accomplishments were this year and Congratulate them. BUT>>>>>> it is the same old sad story with any team with the name Arizona attached to it. The Officiating in this series was so BAD and yes I will say to a point very one sided. How in the world with 4 so called officials on the ice miss so many OBVIOUS penalties. Its disgusting players and or a coach cannot speakout against the Baafoons without getting fined. I sure these officials game calling is reviewed and fined appropriately.

    Coyote Crybabies!
The reason the Coyotes made it this far is because of cheap shots and missed calls. The Coyotes didn't argue when Raffi Torres wasn't called for a penalty on Hossa vs the Blackhawks. That missed call changed the series. Shane Doan and (The Flopper) Mike Smith should be happy that they made it this far. I thought the Coyotes were fortunate that the refs didn't call them for imbelishment (taking dives) several times. What a bunch of sore losers.

Is obviously a bitter Hawks fan who just can't get over the fact that they got beat by the Yotes. Quite whining about the Hossa hit. If you want the truth, most Yotes fans agreed right away that Raffi would be suspended. The length is ridiculous. But everbody agreed is was a suspendable hit. Man up! Accept the loss.

    Congrats Coyotes !
Last night's loss will sting for a while, but congrats to the Coyotes and all their die hard fans. Hopefully those who got excited for them during this playoff run will stay excited and attend some games next year. Hockey players are studs ! :-)

Couldn't have made a better statement myself
I was at the game and have to agree it is pretty sad when thousands of people can clearly see what the few officials deny to the grave. When are Arizona teams going to get some R.E.S.P.E.C.T? AZ teams are adjusting all we're actually demanding at this point since we can't get fairness, is consistency. Great game Coyotes, watching the overall stick handling and movement I think they're the better team even though they got beat this series.

    NHL's finest
The NHL front office dictates who will be the teams to beat. NBA has done it for years. After all, they don't want to see a team that hasn't had an owner fro a couple of years against a Tennessee or Atlanta team. The power houses rule the roost.

LA was better the whole series not just lastnight, and where's everyone calling for all the cheap shots the dawgs gave. Mike Smith is a scumbag....after the hit on the Brown, then swinging on Richards after the final goal...what a jackass! Fans throwing objects on the ice and booing even when they got the trophy??? STAY CLASSY PHX!!!
