The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Tuesday they have recalled right-handed pitcher Dominic Leone from Double-A Mobile.
In a corresponding move, the team optioned outfielder Danny Dorn to Triple-A Reno.
Leone, 23, was 1-1 with a 4.58 ERA in 17.2 innings with the BayBears. He struck out 17 while walking four, holding opponents to a .242 average. This will not be his first stint with the D-backs this season, as he appeared in the team’s June 3 loss to the New York Mets.
Dorn, 31, appeared in 23 games for the D-backs this season — his first in the Major Leagues. He has hit .167 with one double and three RBI.
