Second opinion on Archie Bradley’s ailing shoulder finds no major damage

...

The Arizona Diamondbacks didn’t think there was anything significantly wrong with pitcher Archie Bradley’s shoulder, but the right-hander still wanted to visit with renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion.

And from the looks of it, things are all good. Relatively speaking, of course.

According to News On 6 in Oklahoma, where Bradley is from, Andrews’ examination found nothing alarming.

The examination from Dr. Andrews did not find structural damage to the labrum or the rotator cuff, but found impingement in the top of the shoulder. Dr. Andrews’ findings match an evaluation from Diamondbacks team doctors earlier last week.

The 22-year-old Bradley has been on the disabled list since June 4 with shoulder tendinitis. Prior to landing on the DL, he had posted a 2-3 record with a 5.80 ERA.
