Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill has won a National League Silver Slugger Award, it was announced Thursday.

The award is given to the best offensive player at each position in each league, as voted by Major League Baseball managers and coaches.

Hill hit .302 with 26 home runs and 85 RBI last season. He scored 93 runs and stole 14 bases for the Diamondbacks.

Acquired in a 2010 trade, Hill becomes the fifth Diamondback to win the award, joining Luis Gonzalez, Micah Owings, Justin Upton and Daniel Hudson.

    Best 2nd Baseman in NL
Aaron Hill was a finalist in the gold glove voting, and wins the silver slugger, he is the best 2nd Baseman in the NL. Period. And watching Kelly Johnson flop around in Toronto makes KT look even better with the trade, that happened in 2011, not 2010.
