What was once a report has become official, as the Phoenix Suns and guard Brandon Knight have agreed on a five-year, $70 million contract that will keep the player in the Valley for the foreseeable future.
Knight, 23, played in 11 games for the Suns last season following a deadline-day trade, averaging 13.4 points, 4.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds in those contests.
Still, at his age and with his skill set, many believe his best days are ahead of him. The Suns clearly do, otherwise they would not have given him that kind of contract.
Do you?
Before the deal was official we used the Sanderson Ford Poll Question of the Day to get your thoughts on the contract.
A total of 1,126 votes were submitted, with the majority of respondents saying they are fine with what the Suns did because, quite frankly, the team couldn’t afford to lose the player.
The next-highest total went to folks who are nervous about the contract, followed by fans who feel like the former Detroit Piston and Milwaukee Buck is well worth the money.
