For a team centered around young talent, the future is now.

The Phoenix Suns will test their young nucleus in the annual NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, which announced its schedule Tuesday.

The Suns, who have not made the playoffs in each of the last five seasons, will take part in the event at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion from July 10-20.

Phoenix is slated to play their Summer League opener against the Washington Wizards on July 11 at 3 p.m., followed by games against the Houston Rockets on July 12 and the Utah Jazz on July 14.

Phoenix will play at least two more games in a tournament-style schedule to determine the Samsung Summer League 2015 Champion.

The Suns’ game against the Wizards is scheduled to be played at Cox Pavilion, while the other two are scheduled to be at the Thomas & Mack Center, the home of UNLV basketball.

Phoenix, whose roster is centered around young pieces such as point guard Eric Bledsoe and center Alex Len, will field a young roster at the NBA Summer League likely consisting of young returning players, draft picks and prospective undrafted free agents.

Former Suns head coach Alvin Gentry and the New Orleans Pelicans will open the NBA Summer League against the Milwaukee Bucks at 3 p.m. on July 10 at Cox Pavilion.
