The Phoenix Suns have certainly been streaky this season, but right now, they are on the good kind.
Phoenix rode strong second and third quarters to defeat the Dallas Mavericks 124-115 in their last game before Christmas. The Suns are riding high entering the break, winners of four games in a row.
Home struggles plagued the Suns throughout the early part of the season. They came into the game as the only team to be above .500 overall and below .500 at home. Tuesday’s win improves Phoenix’s record inside U.S. Airways Center to 7-7 (16-14 overall).
Great guard play was the story of the night, as Gerald Green, Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic combined for 63 points. Alex Len (17), Isaiah Thomas (12) and P.J. Tucker (15) also scored in double-digits. Bledsoe finished with 11 assists and 10 rebounds for his second triple-double of the season.
On the final night of Hanukkah and on Christmas Eve’s Eve, here’s a look at Tuesday’s victory by the numbers.
