Maybe a road trip was exactly what the Phoenix Suns needed to jump start their season.

After starting the year 5-4, the Suns went out on the road for a six-game trip. Through five games, Phoenix is 4-1 and firing on all cylinders.

The Suns have won four games in a row, including their second game in as many nights after defeating the Indiana Pacers 106-83 on Saturday. Phoenix outscored Indiana in every quarter.

Gerald Green led all players with 23 points after accounting for a dozen in the opening quarter. Fellow guard off the bench Isaiah Thomas put up 16 of his own, as the two guards led Phoenix’s bench in scoring.

Phoenix looks to finish of its road trip strong with a fifth consecutive victory Monday in Toronto. But before they head north of the border, here’s a look at Saturday’s Suns victory by the numbers:

3

Anthony Tolliver is beginning to show his 3-point prowess off the bench. The 29-year-old forward hit three 3s against the Pacers one night after draining three 3s against the 76ers.

4

The Suns have won four games in a row for the first time this season. Before this streak, the Suns had not won more than two games in a row at any point. The last time Phoenix won four in a row was between March 19-28 last season, when they won six straight.

5

A big reason Green led all players in scoring was his strong play from beyond the arc. He hit five three-pointers en route to scoring more than a point per minute. The Suns shot 39 percent from behind the line overall.

9

Lost in the shuffle of the other guards was the performance of Eric Bledsoe. He got to rest late, but scored nine points and led all Suns with nine rebounds in 25:23 on the floor.

25:23

Phoenix was able to rest their starters late in the game for the second straight night. No Sun played more than 25:23 (Bledsoe), while all 13 dressed players saw game action.

48

Thomas extended his free throw streak to 48 by going 4 for 4 from the line on Saturday. He is chasing the Suns’ team record of 74 set by Steve Nash over the course of two seasons between April and November 2007.

83

The Suns shut down the Pacers defensively, holding them to just 83 points — the fewest allowed by Phoenix this season. It is the third time this season the Suns have held their opponent under 90 points.
