The Phoenix Suns have made a trade.

As first reported by Yahoo's Adrian Wjnarowski, the team has sent its 2013 second-round draft pick to Houston in exchange for forward Marcus Morris.

Morris, who is the twin brother of Suns forward Markieff, is averaging 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game for the Rockets. A 6-foot-9, 235 pound forward, he was selected one spot behind Markieff in the 2011 NBA Draft at 14.

"We have been intrigued for quite some time about the potential synergy from having both of the Morris twins on our team," Suns president of basketball operations Lon Babby said in a press release. "So we are excited to have the opportunity to welcome Marcus to the Suns."

He's not the only one who's excited.

"I shedded a tear or two," Morris told CSNHouston.com after finding out that he'd be reuniting with his brother in Phoenix. "I'm just happy to be back with my brother, get a chance to reunite and get going."

Morris played three seasons at Kansas, and averaged 17.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game as a junior before declaring for the NBA Draft.

For a 2nd rounder, not a bad move
Totally agree with footballisback. Marcus will be solid if he gets the minutes. He was already improving from last season.

    who's who is good.
i think this will be interesting to watch when both are together in the court and have the opponent and the referees confuse who's who. lol.

    A trade I don't hate
So, this is where I've gotten with the Suns front office. When I saw we were involved in a trade, I immediately winced. When I saw it didn't involve Beasley, I winced again. Then when I saw we only gave up a second round pick for the more highly touted Morris brother, the one everybody said we should have drafted in the first place, I nearly did a cartwheel. I had to rub my eyes and read it again. I'm with mesa mad man and footballisback on this one. Plus, it gives us something to talk about the rest of the way, because, let's face it, this team is pretty dull.

A pick has potential. Once a pick becomes a player, there is no more value in the potential. So after a player is drafted and they SUCK, they DO NOT retain the value which was in the POTENTIAL of the PICK, not the player. Case and point: Kwame Brown, Greg Oden, etc... would you trade a top 5 pick for any of these guys? Why not? They were #1s. Beasley was a #2... get it? The POTENTIAL holds the value, not the known commodity.

    Burns & Gambo
And when are they gonna bring back Ash? Its seems like Gambo and Burns cant stand each other. Burns has personality but no talent. Give him an analogy and he will yammer on with 10 different iterations of the same statement. He is a human cliche. Gambo needs to demand the return of Asher. Then return the whole show to afternoons, and do something about the wacky morning drive show that escaped its cage called doug and wolf.

how about a twin Sarver with a checkbook
This Sarver twin needs a pen that works so he can actually pay real players. Also, he needs to sign some real players not just players that make $30 a week, go get Josh Smith, since you missed on James Harden. This maybe just easier for me because I graduated from Arizona State. Didn't you graduate from University of Arizona?? Well, maybe u should be Steve Kerr back. What u r doing now is not working!

    Look for a twin Sarved
Maybe we could sign a twin Sarver or dress up Jerry Colangelo as Robert Sarver's twin with his checkbook if Mr. Sarver knows where it is?? That way Sarver aka Jerry could bring in some real players and bring back Thunder Dan. Remember when all games sold-out 19,023??

I agree to an extent about your rant on potential, but Marcus is a second year player who hasnt seen that much playing time. I dont think his potential is vanquished yet. Guys like Oden and Brown and even Beasley have had years to exhaust the patience of teams. If we gave up a future 1st rounder, I would agree we gave up too much. But a second rounder is so unlikely to be successful (especially for a historically bad drafting team), this is a much better spend. As far as Asher - I totally agree. I can barely stand listening to Gambo and Burns, and CANT stand listening to Doug

    I like this
in the fact that a late 2nd Rd pick usually never makes the team. This could be a good fit as both brothers could potentially be 1 position between the 2 of them. Need to package a deal to land a top name FA this summer!

    Like the Trade
Will be very interesting to see if they can elevate one another's play, I just wonder who is the odd person out now. As to Asher, I really miss that dude - he had the ability to level out Gambo and even smack Gambo down some without being a jerk about it. Burns is just OK, Ash is terrific.
