Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

And at US Airways Center, too.

Tuesday it was reported that veteran center Jermaine O'Neal missed practice and would not travel with the team to Sacramento due to an "unstated medical issue".

"I'm not sure, I heard he went to the doctor for some reason," Suns interim head coach Lindsey Hunter said when asked what was wrong. "I didn't get the details."

Well we're getting them now.

O'Neal joined the Suns prior to this season and has averaged 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. At 34, he is one of the team's elder statesmen, and it's likely he is not pleased with the direction the team has taken of late.

    BLANKS and HUNTER
they both seem like idiot's and seem to be acting like common thugs, promoting their buddies, firing people who don't agree with them just because they have the seat of power. Sarver if you even only 99% as dumb of a basketball person as it seems you are you would be able to figure this out and fire the both of them ASAP

    Wow
This organization is in complete shambles. I have no idea what Jermaine said, but I'm glad he said it. On the down side, they'll just fire him too.

This is how bad it's gotten
Anytime I read about this happening I nearly always take the team's side first. However, seeing how this team has been run into the ground, I totally support the players 100% on this. I don't even care if O'Neal was out of line. Suns, I will not support you with another dollar of my money again until Sarver is gone.

I’m sure this is all a well thought out plan to tank the rest of the season for the #1 pick without anyone actually being able to prove you tanked. Everyone will praise Sarver, et al, for their genius in figuring out how to do this. What a great ownership/management group. It makes me proud.

Got people that never played ( Or did play and were never any good ) running the ship. Yeah running it right into the ground. By the way I haven't watched the Suns for the last several seasons because they are just a waste of my time and attention. The NBA is fixed and I have not interest in it anymore. Too bad for all the suckers buying into the system.

    #1 Pick
#1 pick this year sucks, there is no "superstar" in the draft this year, it's either Nerlens Noel, Shabazz Muhammad or Ben McLemore... nothing to tank for. Noel might be Anthony Davis light.. Muhammad might be OJ Mayo and McLemore might be Michael Redd....

So what are you saying - they should win at all costs? Regardless of how good/bad the prospects are (i still think a few could be stars), its all we have to hope on now. We ARE going to get a top pick. You better either hope one of these guys is something special or someone else thinks they will be and wants to trade for them.

its a bad year to tank on purpose, and if this is the Suns way of tanking then its embarrassing that they thing we are this stupid and willing to stay around. Majerle is gone, if this was a plan Majerle would still be here. that being said, if they have the #1 pick, they probably take Cody Zeller who they will call the second coming of Alvin Adams, but he will be too soft and will end up being a Bargnani type player without the range.

    Agree
I agree its a bad year to suck, but we are stuck with it at this point. The best we can hope for is one of these guys could be an all star someday down the road (I hope not Zeller like you are saying - much rather have the other guys). Durant and the Sonics/Thunder sucked the first couple years he was here too. They still were bad enough to get the 4th and 3rd overall picks the years after they got durant.
