Suns score season low, blown out by Blazers

Sebastian Telfair helped the Suns avoid a franchise-worst scoring performance -- and just in the nick of time.

The Suns were trailing the Portland Trail Blazers 108-68 before Telfair hit a 25-foot three pointer with 0:18 seconds left in the fourth quarter to keep his team from tying an embarrassing milestone.

The worst offensive showing in the history of Suns basketball came on March 8, 1981 against the Kansas City Kings when they scored an abysmal 68 points.

Still, the Suns did reach a new low light in an already mystifyingly troubling season by producing their lowest offensive effort of the year.

To put into context just how bad the Suns were Friday night -- Grant Hill put up a team best 12 points, going 5/13 from the field -- showcasing a shoddy night of shooting that almost matched historic proportions.

Just when you thought the Suns couldn't fall any lower, they came dangerously close in Portland.

So the Suns lack talent. It doesn't take talent to make a good pass, to catch a good pass, to take a good shot, make a free throw, and at least compete on defense. The Suns didn't even look professional last night. What is frustrating is that teams just dominate them make them look like high school players and they just sit there with that "Deer in the headlights look" Frye and others are as soft as tissue paper. If they trade Nash they will get first pick. Hill even looks like crap.

  • Not a team they could beat.

The way the Suns played last night there was not a team in the league they could've beaten even at home. You have to want to compete. I see that in Nash, somewhat in Hill, Redd is trying to find his game. Gortat comes to play. Childress hasn't played. The rest look lost. Can't shoot with any consistency. Can't move without the ball at all. Can't interior pass or catch. Can't man up on defense or rebounding. You can say it was a bad night, but I see unprofessional. You got to believe in yourself and compete!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Regarding the performance of this team, NOTHING could make me happier. Maybe the Suns managers could find some ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to do the job the Suns obviously can't. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

I'm ready for a FIRESALE!!! That also includes their inexperienced GM Babby and Blanks. Get a GM that has experience and has the connections to get some competition on this team. Towers did with D-Backs. The Suns need to trade Nash and Hill and give these young guys a chance to prove themselves. Let's get the number 1 draft pick and get that BIG MAN!
