The Arizona Cardinals did not get much in the way out of production from the tight end position last season.
John Carlson, Rob Housler, Troy Niklas and Darren Fells combined for 50 receptions, 588 yards and one touchdown during the regular season, which are numbers that fell short of preseason expectations.
In an effort to help improve the position, the Cardinals will reportedly take a look at a veteran this week.

Casey, 30, was with the Philadelphia Eagles each of the last two seasons, where he caught six passes for 90 yard and two touchdowns. Before that, he played the first four seasons of his career in Houston with the Texans, with his career-best season coming in 2012. That season, he caught 34 passes for 330 yard and three touchdowns.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Casey was a fifth-round pick of the Texans in 2009 out of Rice University.
