Romo was injured on a sack by Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson with 7:59 remaining in the third quarter. He missed most of the second half, but returned for Dallas’ final drive of regulation and their only drive of overtime. The Cowboys lost to Washington 20-17.
The Cowboys host the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday as the two teams battle it out for NFC supremacy.
According to ESPN, Romo remains a game-time decision to start Sunday’s game. Should he miss the game, Dallas will likely turn to third year QB Brandon Weeden.
