Arizona Cardinals release veteran linebacker Desmond Bishop

Just two days before their season opener against the San Diego Chargers, the Arizona Cardinals announced Saturday that they’ve released linebacker Desmond Bishop.
Bishop, who signed with the team as a free agent on Aug. 14, played in three preseason games with the Cardinals, recording four total tackles.
Before signing with Arizona, Bishop played parts of seven seasons with the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
For his career, Bishop has one interception, seven forced fumbles, 10 pass deflections and 224 total tackles.
