The Arizona Cardinals have released safety Kerry Rhodes.

Rhodes, 30, played in 15 games last season and recorded 67 combined tackles, one sack and four interceptions.

Rhodes was originally acquired by the Cardinals prior to the 2010 season, and in three years with the team collected 162 tackles, four sacks and eight interceptions.

    Rhodes played amazing as a Cardinal. Totally don't think this was a good move. Kind mad at this.

    When healthy, I thought he proved to be one of the leaders on our defense. Sort of out of left field to see him cut. I would assume they wanted to restructure and he didnt. Wouldnt be shocked at all to see him to got the 49ers to replace Goldson

    What the heck? This defense is a top 10 defense. Why are they releasing everyone? At least get draft picks. I can't understand why you would get rid of both safeties and not get a draft pick. What kind of koolaid are they serving in Glendale?

    Admittedly, I'm blown away by this. Kerry played very for us, I thought he was a seamless replacement for Rolle. Sad to see him go, some team will get a darn good safety. Cards brass must have something up their sleeves...
