Just days after deciding to part with safety Adrian Wilson, the Arizona Cardinals may be lining up his replacement.

Landry, 28, most recently played for the New York Jets. He tallied 99 tackles and two interceptions last year, and owns career marks of 482 combined tackles, 5.5 sacks and six interceptions.

Originally drafted by the Washington Redskins sixth overall in 2007, Landry has a reputation for being a big hitter who is better in run support than he is in coverage. At 6-feet tall and 220 pounds Landry has good size, though he's dealt with injury issues over the course of his career. He's played in all 16 games just three times in six seasons.

    Free Agent Safeties...
http://www.nfl.com/freeagency/story/0ap1000000149863/article/free-agency-predictions-analysts-match-top-players-with-teams A handful of NFL analysts seem to think Goldson could be in the Cards' cards?

    Unlikely
We just re-signed Rashad, so the urgency to fill SS has lessened somewhat. I'll bet we're outbid by one of the other teams.

    Landry
From what I have seen from his Redskin days, he is a poor mans A-Dub. One thing I will say is he can definitely hit hard. I do think he will be overpayed by some club though - hopefully not the Cards

    Why oh why
Why AZ has not been rumored to any OLinemen is baffling to me. With SF and Seatle out talenting AZ they better just build a line and power running game to controll the game. The FA QB and this years draft prospects at QB there's no way AZ is gonna compete. End the Kolb nightmare release the dude or cut and resign him for 100$ next year is the year to be in the top 5 for the draft for the future QBs. Az will need ever bit of this draft and next years hopefully top ten in order to get with Seattle of SF. I would focus OLine via draft and FA then a RB or two and some defensive studs.

    That sounds about right
No reason to think the Cardinals would be interested in anybody that anyone ranks in their top 50 free agent list.

Notice that of all these "reports" and "rumors", not a single one has come to fruition. These are all the so called insiders attempting to be the first to break these rumors. Its just like the NBA trade deadline where the Suns were the front runners for Josh Smith and had a trade worked out for Kendrick Perkins. All smoke no fire

    I would
sign Jake Long for LT, move Levi to either RG or back to RT, draft Milliner @ 7 if he is still there, if not then you could move back out of 7 or draft Wormack. Milliner would be huge to lineup on the opposite side of PP especially with the moves the 49ers & Seahags just made!

The O-Linemen available are WAY too expensive for the Cards with the cap. But the draft is incredibly deep in the first few rounds with both tackles and guards. Some mock drafts have 3 tackles in the top 10 picks, and some people even have a guard going in the top 10 as well. It is a much more cost effective way to address the OLine.

    The Cardinals
have no intention of paying Long the money he thinks he is worth.
