It's no secret that the Arizona Cardinals have holes to fill on the offensive side of the ball.

The Cardinals started four different quarterbacks, gave up 58 sacks and were ranked last in the NFL in total rushing yards in 2012.

ESPN Insider and ex-NFL general manager Bill Polian pointed out obvious needs for Bruce Arians' team, but says one position may be irreparable in the open market.

Key need: QB

Others: OG/OT/RB/TE

Quarterback is by far the most pressing need, but as with other teams on this list that lack a signal-caller, it doesn't look like it can be filled through free agency. Since that's the case, offensive line is the next area to explore on the free-agent market. The Cardinals gave up a league-high 58 sacks in 2012.

Polian's theory dismantles any speculation of the Cardinals reaching for San Francisco's Alex Smith, the Colts' Drew Stanton or even Tim Tebow, thus leaving Arizona with the NFL Draft, or what they've got in the bag.

    Well, so much for that
Not much point continuing down that path any more I guess.

    Who Cares!
This team is a minimum of three or four years from competing for division title! The NFC West no longer the door mat of the NFL so it’s going to be difficult for the Cards franchise to contend. I’m letting my season tickets go and taking a nice summer vacation in hopes to forget this past JOKE season!

I think we make the playoffs next year
It may be as a wild card, but Arian's said himself, there is more talent on this team than what he had in Indy. Of course, he had a great rookie QB, so that does change the scenario, but I sill believe we make it in nex year. O-line, a great running back who stays healthy for a change, and a Quarterback either by improving what we have, or taking a chance on a young guy like Bray, Wilson or Scott, we have a good shot.

    Reality Check..!!!
The assumption of another QB competition is becoming more of a reality. Can't blame the Cardinals not much in free agency, bad QB draft class, although I think they bring in another QB. Lindley, Hoyer are out. This regime whould rather keep Kolb(contract) Skelton(Base Salary) who have experience and both at times have played well. Kolbs Skelton and QB#3 who? QB competition 2013. WOW :o

    Reality Check-2..!!
Whos else is out there for QB? the only free agent out there is Alex Smith who's more expensive than Kolb and not considered an elite QB. I've been apposed to Kolb as QB but in reality he will compete in 2013. The real problem was the running game, OL must improve drastically to compete in 2013. If Arians can develope Kolb,Skelton, or QB#3? and improve OL, play good defense.Cardinals could improve in 2013... but playoffs?

Wasn't he the one that was fired for betting on Curtis Painter as a backup QB?

    Not to
mention bringing in Kerry Collins! We all know the QB spot needs to be assessed differently. Obviously Whiz failed to groom a QB for the future but he did believe in Kolb so cannot fault him for sticking his neck out there to make it work.
