New Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has been hammered with questions about the team's quarterback situation since he met the media the day he interviewed for the job. Wednesday, when he sat in front of the media once again at the Cards facility, he started with a statement about the popular topic.

"Nothing has changed on my comments on quarterbacks since the last time we talked," he said. "We are presently evaluating, now that we have the staff together, everyone that's on the Cardinals team. Practice squad and everybody that played last year, guys that are on IR and we're all pleasantly pleased at what we're seeing."

Arians can't blame the media or the fans for wanting an answer to the question of the revolving quarterback. Last year the team used four different QBs in the span of 16 regular season games.

"The quarterback situation will take some time. I like what we've got and what we have will be better," Arians added. "If there's a better option behind door number two, Steve (Keim) and Jason (Licht) will search it out for us and will look at that option also and see if that's better for the Cardinals."

Arians also said that some of the offensive woes last season were due to injuries, and he's partially right. Both Kevin Kolb and John Skelton missed significant time, and that could have contributed to the dead last offensive ranking.

"There's nowhere to go but up," Arians said. "I guarantee you we won't be there this year and I think injuries played a big part of that."

Arizona averaged just 263 yards of total offense per game, including 75 yards on the ground and 188 in the air. The team scored an average of 15.6 points per game.

    Points Per Game
I only give the offense credit for scoring 10 points per game. The rest of those points were scored or set up by the incredible play by the D all year long. Throw out that Seattle game where clearly the entire team mailed it in, reminiscent of that Patriots blowout game in the snow during the Superbowl season. I'm looking forward to seeing what Arians can get out of this Offense.

    Way too many
comments coming from this staff already about how they see a lot of good in what we have. BS, there is very little that is good anywhere in the offense and injuries are not the reason. The reason is a dearth of talent.

    New scheme; new results
I heard a Rich Bartel interview; he said that he felt OC Mike Miller was "in over his head." His scheme didn't play to our strengths; the predictability of the offense made the Line/QB play look worse than it was. Example: Wells was never used in pass protection; if he was in the game, the defense could shoot the gaps and hit him in the backfield as he got the ball. That's the Line's fault? No run game=no play action=poor QB play.

How many choices does he have?
Other than Alex Smith ther are no real other options except agening veterens, young un-proven QB's and current QB's. Kolb doesn't fit in Arians system (I don't think) Lindley needs more expierence. Bad 2013 draft for QB's, what might Curt Cousins and Matt Flynn cost (un-proven). Look..He was hired to develope players especially QB's.

    Coaching
With Arians and the staff he's brought I'm excited for next year. We have NEVER had a top notch offensive line in all the years the Cards have been in AZ. If we use the draft to build our line the offense will be much improved. Sounds like the line will get plenty of coaching, something they have missed badly in years past.

What makes you the expert on our offense? You're telling me that your resume is deeper than Arians and Tom Moore's? Didn't think so. There's plenty of talent, and yes, injuries were a key part. Nice try.
