Report: Cardinals expected to hire Austin Peay coach Rick Christophel
New Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is busy filling out his staff, and it appears he's going to dip into the collegiate ranks to find a tight ends coach.
According to CoachingSearch.com, Arians has offered the job to Austin Peay head coach Rick Christophel.
Christophel has been with the school since 2007 and has compiled a 20-46 record. Before that he had spent time in various coaching positions at a multitude of stops.
If Christophel accepts the job he will replace Freddie Kitchens, who will be Arizona's quarterbacks coach.
