Bruce Arians' coaching staff is starting to take shape, and Sunday the first-time head coach reportedly is adding an old colleague to the fold in Arizona.

According to CBS NFL insider Jason La Canfora, long-time assistant Tom Moore will work alongside Harold Goodwin as the Cardinals' new assistant head coach/offensive coordinator.

Moore, whose career as an NFL assistant dates back to 1977, was the offensive coordinator in Indianapolis from 1998-2000 when Arians was the Colts quarterbacks coach.

The 74-year-old has been a part of three Super Bowl-winning staffs with Pittsburgh (1978 and 1979) and Indianapolis (2006). He most recently served as an offensive consultant for the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets.

In addition to Moore, La Canfora also reports that the Cardinals will add Tom Pratt as a pass-rush specialist.

Pratt has coached with the likes of Bill Cowher, Tony Dungy and Marty Schottenheimer during his time in the NFL. He will be coming to Arizona from IMG Academies, where he has worked with prospects leading up to the NFL draft.

    Sounds good...but
Yikes...I cringed when I saw he did consulting for the Jets last year. The Jets were unequivocally the second worse offense in the league last year, the Cardinals being the first. That scares me a little bit. Hopefully he's as sharp as he was when he was with the Colts...

    in fairness...
a consultant is usually just a paycheck title. Someone in the organization owed him a favor probably.

Agree. I'm excited to see what next year holds for the Cards. I think if they go 2 o linemen in a row in the draft, we could be in for something special. And don't worry about Moore's 1 year with the Jets. Look at his entire resume.

    Welllll
people are being critical of Arians' hires but you got to like this one. Yes this guy is a fossil but his knowledge of the game is second to none & like I mentioned in other articles, our Offense needs it. We were inept in every offensive category it seemed & it can only get better.

Couldn't agree more. Arians' staff is looking better every day. The knowledge between Arians & Moore is what the Cardinals offense needs. I'm excited to see what they do with the QB situation when it comes to Kolb. I hope they restructure his contract and then build the offense to his strengths because if they do I think he could be a really good QB. I don't think they have much of a choice unless Geno Smith becomes available in the draft which I doubt. I also think if Joeckel and Smith are gone they might go with QB Tyler Wilson or Chance Warmack in the 1st round.

    I would
go with the either of the 2 OT's or Warmack @ 7. Then I would go for Tyler Wilson in the 2nd unless we move up to ensure grabbing him.
