The Arizona Cardinals, appearing to have missed out on top choices Andy Reid and Mike McCoy, have apparently added another name to their list of head coaching candidates.

According to NFL.com insider Ian Rapoport, the team has interest in Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.

Bevell would be just the latest in a growing list of offensive-minded coaches the Cardinals are looking at to replace the fired Ken Whisenhunt.

Bevell, 42, has been Seattle's offensive coordinator for the last two seasons. Prior to heading northwest he held the same position with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Seahawks have been an excellent running team in Bevell's two seasons, and this past year made it to the second round of the playoffs with rookie quarterback Russell Wilson under center.

Bevell, who is a 1988 graduate of Chaparral High School in the Valley, has already interviewed with the Chicago Bears, and may be chatting with the Jacksonville Jaguars as well.

Thus far the Cardinals have spoken with the aforementioned McCoy, as well as Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley, as well as current Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton.

A look at how the Cardinals' coaching search has unfolded can be viewed in this timeline.

    Cards coaching posibility
Why not Joe Bugel! Just saying...did people really think that Andy Reid or McCoy would be knocking down the door to coach the Cards? I think the best bet would be Horton.

I 100% agree with you on Reid going to KC cuz he has total control and the #1 draft pick AND McCoy going to SD because they are the best team out there for him. And the guy you are talking about (the guy who wants to be here and be the HC) is and has been Horton. @ mesamadman, I think we have a excellent WR core. I think LSH is a Darren Sproles type back. I agree they all havent been utilized. I disagree with you on Williams. I think if they have a oppurtunity to come up on a good RB in the draft or FA, they should get him. Kolb, Williams, and Wells are injury bugs and aren't durable.

Cards just need to trust Keim and Horton to bring in a OC and QB of their choice and someone that will run the offense they feel needs to be ran to win football games. Horton is defensive minded... He knows how offenses win defenses. And its a little concerning that the Cards are STILL trying to fill the HC vacancy with people that weren't even targets at first. They went after Reid 1st. They mentioned they would reach out to McCoy and that Horton is also a canidate. But now we're down to Horton. And they're still searching?

    Questions!!!!
With Mr. Keim named "The Lowest Paid GM" in the NFL, the bidwell's better get the thinking caps on!!! If they draft Barkley from "The University of SPOILED CHILDREN", I will start to be a COWBOYS or RAVENS fan again!!! Dissapointed on "THE SEARCH", because time does matter!!! Mr. Ray Horton is the best choice for the job, due to Mr. Ken's stupid choices!!!! Keep Mr. Korn Kolb at a reduced salary, and the only thing they need to draft is O.T. and O.G. THAT IS A MUST if they want the seats full!!! As a taxpayer, I DESERVE A BETTER PRODUCT!!!!

Cards need to make the right choice, not the hurried choice. Keim may be the cheapest paid. Lets see what he can do first then give him his raise. We just got done with Whiz and 5.5 mil and what did he do? I am tired of fans calling Cards cheap. What would those fans do if it were there money. BE SMART! Finally, I hope they go with Horton! He has the respect of everybody. It is important though about what staff he can bring.

While I agree this is taxing for Horton, we don't know what is being said behind close doors. Maybe Mr Horton and Bidwell are working on this together. Would love to be a fly on the wall for all the inside scoop, and not just out speculation.

    Keim is young
The gm salaries are not made public so it is all guessing. I expect Keim to be at the bottom with his experience. Like Whiz he will get a huge raise if he helps turn the team around. Why over pay him for something he has not yet accomplished.

    Cardinals never learn
The Cardinals biggest issues have been evaluating when to let players leave and what personnel to keep. If they don't hire Horton, he is gone in a year. Here is a guy that took our defense from 26th in the league to top 5. It will be a big mistake to let him go in a year.
