Take a look at some NFL mock drafts, and you'll see a varied collection of players the Arizona Cardinals are predicted to take in the first round.

Really, take a look.

A lot will happen between now and the draft, which begins on April 25, including private workouts, college all-star games and the NFL Scouting Combine.

Still, as far as the Cardinals are concerned, their biggest needs are pretty easily identifiable: quarterback and offensive line.

While this is regarded to be a fairly weak QB class, there appear to be several talented lineman from which the Cardinals may be left to choose from.

ESPN NCAA football analyst Mark May, as a guest of Arizona Sports 620's Burns and Gambo Tuesday, had some pretty high praise for some of the top prospects, including Texas A&M tackle Luke Joeckel and Alabama guard Chance Womack.

"Well Joeckel and Womack will definitely probably be top-12 picks in my opinion," he said.

May said he does not expect A&M tackle Jake Matthews to leave college, but said the best offensive linemen in this draft have plenty to offer an NFL team.

May Day called it, he said 'Bama would dominate Notre Dame and so they did. How did he know? Plus, how is this year's NFL draft shaping up? And, as a Redskins fan, how did he feel about RGIII staying in the game?
"Those guys are not just great athletes and great players, but they're smart players and they're great technicians," he said. "When you look at offensive linemen, if you can see a guy that's a good technician in college you know that's going to carry over in the NFL."

    need OL
first 3 picks need to be 2 OL and 1QB. after all Kolb can do well if we had OL that open holes for RB and protect the QB on passes.

I agree they need to draft O Line, but, although Kolb has shown flashes, no means is Kolb durable to be counted on. Your right, Cards need to have a plan B at QB in place in case Kolb goes down for a half a year+ again...

    Cards Draft
There is no clear cut QB in this draft that the Cards could justify taking with the 7th overall pick. Grab the best available OL (Warmack or Lewan). I'm just happy Keim is the 1 to decide these things now. If he were our GM back in 07 we would have Adrian Peterson instead of Levi.

Hopefully they pass on a QB this year
I say they give Kolb one more year. Beyond Geno Smith there's really no one worth drafting. The QBs in 2014 seem to be a lot better than this year. So pass on a QB and get after Aaron Murray, Tahj Boyd and Teddy Bridgewater.

    QB
Address the QB position in FA or next year. This is NOT the year to take a QB in the first 3 rounds. Make a serious run for Alex Smith, improve the line, try to snag Montee Ball in the 3rd round. We need a dominant O Line to compete (both Seattle and SF have 2 offensive linemen going to the Pro Bowl). A good line makes decent QB's better, RB's much better and we can control the clock. Love the Keim hiring, I'll support his decision on HC. Go Cards.

    o-line & rb.
previous post is right on target,do what seattle & s.f. has done & stack your o-line & backfield to make your offense stable,( if russel wilson & c.ponder had a line that gave up 29 sacks in 4 games/& no run game, not only would they not make it to the playoffs-their careers would probably be considerably shorter as well.)

    Agree with everyone
No QB worth taking a risk on at #7. Draft OL. Plan is to go with Kolb another season with Hoyer as backup. Plan 1A would be to pursue Alex Smith (can't believe I'm saying this) to compete with Kolb and Hoyer as final backup. Let's face it, there is a 95% chance Kolb plays less than 16 games next year. We MUST shore up the backup role or make him a backup.
