Andy Reid will not be interviewing with the Arizona Cardinals Thursday.

No one else will be, either, according to Arizona Sports 620's Kyndra de St. Aubin.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora tweeted something similar earlier in the day, citing the Bidwills' Fiesta Bowl commitments as a reason for inaction. The game, which will be played Thursday night at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, is pitting Oregon against Kansas State.

Of course, that does not mean the Cardinals won't be doing anything coaching-search related. As de St. Aubin later reported, candidate Ray Horton will be with Cardinals president Michael Bidwill at some point Thursday.

    Coach
Getting the feeling it was a two horse race - Reid and Horton. When Reid blew them off for the Chiefs and Horton impressed in the interviews, it tipped the scales. The other rumored candidates I think in Mccoy is just them doing their diligence and getting some other perspectives, and Haley is likely done because of the existing relationship

    Bad hand played
Bidwell lost his edge when he showed his hand...now he's trying to save some face by listing "obligations" as the reason Reid cancelled his visit.

    GM First
Still say they should be looking to hire a GM first, then have him take part in the selection process. Why? Because what if the GM you want to hire and may be a great fit, isn't fond of the coach you selected? I don't want anyone inside of the Cardinals organization to take over as a GM. Need an outsider to bring in his own guys.

You are right in most cases but I believe the Cards will go in house for both with Keim & Horton.

...Bidwell. Hire Horton, even though you barely mentioned his name in your presser, and find him a TOP NOTCH OC.

    Sounds Like Keim and Horton
I do not like the idea of hiring a GM internally that worked under Graves, but, I think Keim is still a advisor to Bidwill and might be supporting Horton. Im a supporter of any supporter of Horton. As far as OC, it might be Norv Turner (which I wouldnt be mad at it). Turner was the OC in DAL when Horton was playing for DAL in the 90's. Im excited to see what direction we take offensively under Horton.

I think you have to look at the overall picture. Graves made a mess of the front office by delegating every task. As has been covered locally, there were no dividing lines as to who was responsible for what. By scrapping everything and starting over, reallocating resources to let the front office do the personnel decisions, it should immediately fix many problems.

    Hire Horton!
Sounds like Horton is the frontrunner for HC of the Cards which is fine by me. It's funny how people assume that Reid blew the Cards off when it could very well be that the Cards weren't that interested as the Desperate Chiefs who were at Reid's becking call...after all the Chiefs did fly out to Philly and didn't want him to leave without a deal according to some of the reports. If the Cards wanted Reid then they would have flown out...correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the media and Reid throw out the first indications of Reid to the Cards?

While I dont think the Cards desperately wanted Reid like the media would have you believe, I do think he was one of their top targets (and probably deservedly so). Michael Bidwell brought him up in the press conference on Monday and made it seem like he was a top target. Whether that was just to excite the fan base or if he honestly was, it remains to be seen. I stand by saying Reid blew off the Cards though - if he made a commitment to coming to AZ to interview and then decides to cancel it, thats pretty much the definition..
