Ridiculous, thy name is the Andy Reid coaching circus.

Tuesday it was reported by various outlets that the former Eagles coach was almost certain to replace Ken Whisenhunt in Arizona.

Now Thursday, it's being reported that Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of a deal.

Yeah, sure.

According to NFL.com, Reid is still planning on meeting with at least two more teams about job openings.

Reid will interview with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday as planned, according to NFL.com's three amigos: Steve Wyche, Ian Rapoport and Albert Breer. Reid also plans to interview with the San Diego Chargers this weekend, which is near where he owns a home, someone with knowledge of the meetings told Wyche.

As the report notes, it's possible Reid's plans could change, and Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin is reporting that Reid does not have any interview scheduled in Arizona.

But, it noteworthy that Bidwell let Reid's name slip in his presser. If Bidwell was seriously interested in Reid...he's not a very good poker player...he showed his hand.

    So what?
Reid is overrated. He put together a terrible coaching staff the last two years and couldn't build an O-Line in Philly. To say nothing of giving Vick a ridiculous amount of money. In the real world, you are allowed to interview with multiple, pontential employers. And sometimes, you may end up loving what you heard from one before you get to the next. Played? I say absurd and creating drama where there is none.

...is just a Jr. insider and an eager beaver. NFL folks know that if they want innacurate information put out there immediately, in order to get buzz going, he's the one to go to. When I look back, I don't see anything that indicated Reid showed interested in AZ. Michael Bidwill even said in his interview that he reached out to Reid, not the other way around. Bidwill tipped his hand, and Reids agent used it to build up immediate interest in his client.
