There has been much speculation about who will take over the head coaching reins of the Arizona Cardinals.

One name that has been linked frequently to the Cardinals is former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid.

CBS NFL Insider Jason La Canfora tweeted he expects Reid to wind up in Arizona.

It has been reported that Reid will interview with Cardinals' brass about the head coaching vacancy.

The veteran coach was a mainstay on the sidelines in Philadelphia for 14 seasons and led the Eagles to five NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl appearance.

In recent years, Reid failed to meet the Eagles' hefty expectations and was unable to get high-priced free agents to perform. Philadelphia went a disappointing 12-20 over the past two seasons, sealing the acclaimed coach's fate.

Reid is expected to be a sought-after coach this offseason but he could be enticed to join the Cardinals, who already have a championship-caliber defense in place.

    Really
Yes Reid is a good coach but if we don't get Horton as HC, I will lose it. I mean even if Horton doesn't become our new HC I would still like him to be a Cardinal. Make Horton the highest paid Cord. and getting Reid won't be a bad decision.

Listening to Bidwell's presser...he was heavy on a QB development type of HC. He dropped Reid's name....he will push heavy to secure him. Horton's name only came up when a media question was asked specifically about Horton. Now it sounds like almost a done deal with Reid & ex-Browns GM Heckert. Even Kolb had some pep in his step during his media interview yesterday. No more Steelers West...Eagles West now. The question is....does that put Horton on the outside looking in?

would be a great hiring. Horton hasn't proved he can be a HC yet. Great coordinator, but those guys don't always pan out. Reid is proven. Hiring Reid makes the Whiz firing ok...

    Dont Wanna Lose Dr. Horton
At any cost. Reid is a proven offensive mastermind but at what cost is he worth bringing in? Is he worth losing our best DC in recent memory? Is Horton worth the risk? I believe so he's as hungry as any Coordinator worthy. I see a Mike Tomllin 2.0. A formidable respected football head.
