Despite Sunday's franchise-worst 58-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks and a nine-game losing streak with no apparent end in sight, the Arizona Cardinals will not rush to any decision on head coach Ken Whisenhunt.

Speaking to a small handful of reporters Monday afternoon, team president Michael Bidwill addressed Whisenhunt's status and at least for the next three games, it looks as though he will remain the team's head coach.

Whisenhunt, who led the team to its only Super Bowl appearance in 2008, has a record of 44-49 in his six seasons in Arizona.

Despite his early success with the organization, the team has failed to make the playoffs each of the last three seasons, and in that span has had losing streaks of six, seven and nine games.

    Personally, I would LOVE to see Whiz just lose his mind on the sideline. Kick over a cooler, scream in the face of a player who screwed up. Something! Just standing there stoically is getting old. I want to see some passion out of this guy. That he is truly angry and upset at what's happening on the field. I would love to see some shades of Cower or Gruden come from this guy.

    OFF Coord should be gone, QB coach gone, RB coach gone, and trade Fitz for draft picks and players. should be a 8 for 1 player deal. trade wells too. need new look

    Stop being a bunch of Bickley's. (the hack sports guy at the Republic). The Cards had no real chance this year, sure, very good defense and they lucked into a win early against NE on a missed FG. But they still have NO o-line and the QBs are beat, broken and running for their lives. The coach is good. Everyone, take a step back and look calmly at reality and the big picture.

    Will not change the loss of your leader and best O-lineman, who is replaced by some one far less talented. Our QB goes down along with our top two RBs. Yesterday was less about Whiz and more about the players including 6 turnovers before half time. 2 of which were by a star player Peterson. If anything the GM is more responsible because it is his job to acquire good talent. Take away the injuries and we are having conversation about our playoff chances.

    I see you're a typical Phoenix homer in that you hate on Bickley because he actually provides honest opinions and doesn't agree with everything like Company Boy-Wolf huh? Whiz has lost 7, 6, and now 9 in 3 straight years. How many losses in a row does he get with you? 30? 40?

    Quit throwing excuses for Whiz up there. Can't blame injuries. It's the NFL. Everyone has em. Can't blame who his QB's are. He picked up. And he has a pretty good say in personnel so these roster mistakes have a lot of his writing on them. Keep with your below-average coach in Whiz and keep with your below-average seasons.

    All great businesses begin as great ideas, but survive as a great cultures. In football, that means the right philosophy on how to draft, contract and treat players based on a commitment to providing a quality product for the fans and sponsors that translates into a system of behavior that produces results. Mr. Bidwell, creating that culture is a process that began when you hired Whiz. If you see pulling the trigger on whiz, graves, etc now as an emotional reaction, you have not been paying attention.

    The only one that lead this team to the Super Bowl was K. Warner. It the team "Plays as Many" then your Cat can be the head coach and look like a bowl of cherries. The coach is just someone who takes the credit for good and takes the flack for bad. Good players can manage themselves believe me.. It's all for the huge paycheck. Trim the Fat. Bye Whisenhunt.

    Well, that decision just cost you 2500 - 3000 season ticket holders. Hardly an emotional decision Mike.... His fate was sealed when he pulled Skelton from a winning game. Not that he was lighting it up but that's when he started to lose the team. Mikey, you best deal with it now to convince players to stay and not risk losing Horton. Ravens just fired Cameron and they are atop their division, but they're a "WINNING" organization.... looking foolish Mikey.
